Robert C. Larson,
UDR Chairman
Robert C. Larson, chairman of UDR Inc.
(NYSE: UDR) died March 11. He was 75.
Larson enjoyed a long career in the commercial real estate business. Most recently, he served as chairman
of Larson Realty Group and Lazard Real Estate Partners LLC.
Beginning in 1974, Larson spent 26 years with regional mall
REIT Taubman Centers Inc. (NYSE: TCO). He was named CEO in
1988, retiring from an active management role 10 years later.
Larson also served on the board of Brandywine Realty Trust
(NYSE: BDN) from 1999 to 2004.
“Bob was a mentor to so many industry leaders over the last
50 years. We have been truly fortunate to have shared in his
insight, knowledge and friendship,” said Thomas W. Toomey,
president and CEO of UDR.

senior vice presidents to executive vice president positions:
Sean Breslin, who oversees
redevelopment and asset management; Bill McLaughlin,
who manages development and
construction for the Northeast;
and Steve Wilson, who is responsible for development and
construction for the West Coast
and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Cousins Properties Inc.
(NYSE: CUZ) founder Tom
Cousins received the Atlanta
Sports Council 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award honored Cousins’
contributions to the Atlanta
community by promoting golf
in the city’s East Lake neighborhood. He also was part of
a partnership that bought the
NBA’s St. Louis Hawks in 1968
and moved the franchise to Atlanta. Four years later, he built
Atlanta’s Omni Coliseum, the
city’s first sports arena.

NAREIT chair, was appointed
to the board of directors at
General Growth Properties
(NYSE: GGP). She will serve
on GGP’s capital committee.

Grossi, senior vice president,
COO and chief economist, re-
signed from the company.
